core argument
LDS exaltation is a different gospel system
LDS grace language sits inside a different restored covenant system: priesthood authority, ordinances, temple sealing, and exaltation to godhood.
The New Testament gives grace priority
Ephesians 2 says salvation is by grace through faith and that good works follow as the fruit of God's workmanship. Titus 3 says salvation is by mercy, not righteous deeds.
Obedience belongs to Christian life, but obedience is not an exaltation ladder to godhood.
LDS highest salvation depends on restored ordinances
The Articles of Faith speak of laws and ordinances. Doctrine and Covenants 132 ties exaltation to covenant sealing and says the exalted shall be gods.
That is not merely the biblical command to obey Christ. It is a restored priesthood, temple, sealing, and godhood system.
Grace language does not erase the structure
Official LDS teaching speaks of grace, Christ's atonement, repentance, and obedience. Those words should be read honestly. The difference is the system in which they function.
In LDS doctrine, the highest saving goal is exaltation, and exaltation is tied to restored authority, ordinances, covenants, temple sealing, and eternal increase. That is not simply the New Testament pattern of good works flowing from salvation.
Exaltation changes the goal of salvation
Christianity teaches adoption, resurrection, holiness, and participation in God's life by grace. It does not teach that the redeemed become gods in the same order as the Father or become heavenly parents through temple sealing.
When salvation is aimed toward exalted godhood and made dependent on a restored temple system, the gospel structure has changed.
