The Bible was corrupted
Objection
The Bible was corrupted or translated incorrectly.
What is true
Translation issues and textual questions exist.
Why it is not enough
The claim needs evidence that the apostolic text originally taught LDS-specific doctrines such as an embodied Father and exaltation to godhood.
Key question: Where is the manuscript evidence for the LDS Godhead in the apostolic church?
Textual difficulty is not a blank check
Christians can admit translation issues, manuscript variants, and difficult passages without granting that the Bible once taught the LDS system.
A general claim that plain truths were lost does not supply evidence for an embodied Father, exaltation to godhood, temple sealing for highest salvation, or total priesthood loss.
The restoration still has to be tested
If later LDS scripture is used to decide what the Bible originally meant, the argument has assumed the restoration before testing it.
The better order is public: compare the apostolic text we have with the doctrine later claimed as restoration. If the later doctrine changes God and gospel, Galatians 1 remains relevant.
